Planning a Las Vegas trip? If so, then you need to plan your entertainment as well as all of your travel details. After all, there is simply too much to see and do in Vegas to get it all done in one trip, so you will need to pick and choose carefully.

One of the most spectacular shows to catch while you are in Las Vegas is the Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. Phantom is always best when done in a semi-permanent location, as that chandelier drop is never quite as spectacular on a touring show. This version has never-before-seen special effects that will blow your mind.

“O” at the Belagio is a show you have to experience to truly understand. This Cirque du Soleil show occurs both under and above water, featuring talented acrobats and swimmers performing stunts that you are difficult to imagine, let alone perform. The artistry and athleticism combined in this show make it truly awe-inspiring. Keep in mind that the price is steep, so set aside some extra money in your budget for this one.

If you want to catch a great comedian-slash-impersonator, catch the new Danny Gans show at Encore Las Vegas. This talented performer will act, sing, impersonate, and simply entertain with his comedic antics. You will be surprised at how well a single performer can keep you entertained if you catch his act.

Blue Man Group at the Venetian is another popular show. No one really knows why bald, blue mutes are so entertaining, but entertaining they are. This is a family-oriented show and incorporates dance, music, rhythm, and an interesting type of humor into its entertainment package. Be forewarned, however, that there really is a “Poncho Section” where you could end splattered with all sorts of lovely things by the end of the show.

Finally, what is a trip to Vegas without a little magic show? If a great magician is your cup of tea, then head to Criss Angel Believe at the Luxor. Rest assured, however, that this is not a “little” magic show. This show pulls all of the stops, including players from Cirque du Soleil, plenty of show girls, dazzling lights, and, of course, the magic of Criss Angel himself. This is probably not a show for the kids, but it is a great choice for some adults who wish to be truly amazed and mystified.

If you are wondering what show to see in Vegas, be sure at least one of these five is on your list. However, no matter what you choose to see in Vegas, you will be entertained. It is not the entertainment capital of the world for no reason, after all!

This oldie but goodie strip club is free to enter.  Most strip clubs have a cover charge but this one located on Main street downtown Las Vegas is free to look.  The drinks are expensive and the girls and show are relatively clean.  No hard core stripping in this place just stiff drinks and ok dancers.

Rain is located just west of the Vegas strip at the Palms.  This multi tiered club is hip and trendy.  The offer VIP boxes as well as pyro effects, fog and water.  The crowds to this place can be a bit much for what you be but it doesn’t stop people from flocking to it in droves.  Not a bad place to visit one time but definitely not a repeat hangout for us.  I kind of felt like we were back at the prom when we finally go inside.

Studio 54 is located at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip. It is a “Disco” bar and it shows. Music from the 70’s and 80’s is all you will hear in this boogie woogie bar. Acrobats and Go-Go Dancers will keep you entertained if you decide not to “cut the rug.” A fun place to check out if you are into the Disco scene.

 The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas isn’t located on the strip but instead across the street from the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus.  They have well over 500 rooms so getting a place to stay for the night isn’t that bad unless there is a big activity going on at UNLV.  This rock star paradise is priced just right too.  Each room comes with a giant plasma tv and the rock style feel for under $200 a night.  Good bars and restaurants at this very hip hotel and casino.

Located at the Treasure Island lounge on the Vegas strip this is a great place to stop in for a frozen drink on those hot Nevada days.  Sit at the bar and play some video poker at this laid back and easy going watering hole.  Tropical decor and great service almost makes it seem like you are in the Riviera Mia – Muy Bueno

 This is one of the best gentlemans clubs in Vegas.  Located just west of the Las Vegas strip (see map below) it sports some of the best looking dancers in all of Nevada.  Overcrowded every time we’ve been there but still well worth it.  Drinks are pricey and the girls have no problem taking your money but you’ll be hard pressed to find a better silicon show in town.  Watch out for “Fire” she is one smoking red head who will drain you dry, if you let her.

This club located just west of the Vegas strip was not our style. This Las Vegas hot spot sports dancers, a sports lounge, piano bar and skyboxes. The name suggests scoring or hooking up, yeah maybe if you are a sardine. This place was entirely over crowed, asses to elbow and pricey to boot. For some it might work for us there are many other places to visit that are much nicer.

What can we say this is a sports paradise with a bar wrapped around it. They have TV’s all over the place so you won’t miss any action when you go to watch your favorite team. This place isn’t really built for relaxing as it can get a little loud and the visual stimulation rivals that of the casino’s. This place was really made for men who want to stop gambling for an hour and watch the game with a frosty cold beer.
